- If you are healthy, please help someone
who isn't. By donating your blood through the Red Cross, you are giving someone
another chance - another birthday, another anniversary, another smile...
Collecting, testing and distributing blood is something the Red Cross has done
for over 50 years. Blood is needed everyday, around the clock and in communities all
across the country.

Who Can Donate
If you're 17 years old or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in general
good health, you can share your life with others.
-
- Effective July 1, 2006, Kansas
law allows 16 year olds to donate blood or platelets with
written parental consent (Similar law went into effect August 28, 2006, in
Missouri). In fact, your one donation can save up to three lives because each
component of your blood is used for specialized medical treatments.
-
- To schedule an appointment to donate the gift of
life, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or 1-888-719-8929.
